Banking and Finance Conference

Since 1994, the Banking and Finance Conference has provided a unique and valuable interface between academics and professionals in the financial services industry. Under the auspices of its Research Director, Professor Kevin Davis, the Australian Centre for Financial Studies has developed the conference comprehensive technical program.

The Finsia-Australian Centre for Financial Studies Banking and Finance Conference provides a unique and valuable opportunity for practitioners and academics to exchange knowledge, views and develop contacts. In an environment where financial markets are undergoing marked change, understanding recent developments in both theory and practice and the results of applied research, are crucial.

The conference encompasses presentations of results of peer-reviewed Australian and international academic finance research, plenary session presentations from distinguished finance practitioners, and practitioner-oriented panel sessions developed by Finsia. The choices available among concurrent streams of presentations provide attendees with the opportunity to sample leading edge finance knowledge and research in areas of specific interest.

The event attracts on average 100 attendees to this event consisting of finance academics, corporate lenders, investment managers and analysts, risk managers, stockbrokers, regulators, insurers and non-bank financial intermediaries.

Participants attend to:

  • Hear from key decision-makers and thought-leaders in the Australasian finance industry;
  • Keep up with the latest trends driving the region’s capital markets;
