Objectives

The objectives of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies are to:

• develop strong linkages between industry, government and academia, to facilitate:
  • a vibrant industry relevant research program which creates research opportunities for ACFS, academic staff and research students of consortium partners;
  • prestigious industry and academic partnerships to raise profile and increase outcomes from the Centre; and,
  • strong international research partnerships and networks.

AND

• provide input to policy and thought leadership in the financial services industry through:
  • independent comment and commentary on key issues by staff and Centre Associates;
  • dissemination of research outcomes through a quality events program that facilitates knowledge transfer and debate; and,
  • submissions to public inquiries as appropriate.
